Palmer Drew Jones (1948-2001)

OBITUARY
Palmer "Drew" Jones, 52, died Feb. 3, 2001 in Salt Lake City, Utah after a long hard fought battle with diabetes.

Born March 22, 1948 to Wendell Palmer and Phyllis Bradford Jones. Served a mission in North Central States. Married Arva Mary Hamblin April 14, 1972 in the Manti Temple. Attended Salt Lake Community College. Worked 27 years at the Salt Lake City Police Department in various positions. Served numerous callings in the church. Ward clerk, High Priest instructor and assistant Scout Master, which gave him time to camp and work with his own boys.

Drew is survived by his wife (eternal partner); four sons, Tyler Drew (Talia); Nathaniel Edwin (Dione); Trevor Samuel (Rachel); Anthony Michael (Erin); two granddaughters, Kati and Tori Jones; two grandsons, Devin and Joshua Jones; mother and step father, five brothers and six sisters. Preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2001 at 12 noon at Nibley Park Ward, 2450 S. 600 E., viewing prior to services from 10:3011:30 at the church. Friends and family may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 High-land Drive. Interment, Mt View Memorial Estates, 3115 E. 7800 S.
