Levern Anderson (1929-2006)

OBITUARY
Levern Anderson, age 77, passed away on September 25, 2006 in Delta, Utah. She was born on May 30, 1929 in Oak City to Don Lyman and Thelma Levern Lovell Anderson. Levern grew up in Oak City until she reached the eighth grade. She moved to Ogden, Utah to finish High School. Later she was a member, and served as chaplain and vice-president, in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Member of Delta Fine Arts. Sung for years in the Oak City Ward Choir. She worked at the Deseret Industries for 25 years. Received her endowments in the Salt Lake Temple on May 6, 1960. She moved back to Oak City to help her father in March 1981. Levern loved everyone, and had a very kind and caring soul, spending her years taking care of and being a companion to many elderly women.

Levern is survived by her brothers: Nephi Jay (Lila Priest) Anderson; Don Lyman (Loraine Finlinson) Anderson Jr.; sisters: Maurine (Glenn) Widdison; Colleen (Kenneth) Wilkerson; many nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by parents: Don & Thelma; step-mother: Ruth Lovell.

Funeral services were held on Friday September 29, 2006 at 11:00 am in the Oak City First Ward Chapel. Friends called at the Nickle Mortuary, Delta on Thursday evening from 7-8 pm and at the church on Friday from 9:30-10:45 am. Burial was in the Oak City Cemetery.
