Berdine was born August 7, 1917 in Blanding, Utah to Stanley Kumen Jones and Millie Maude Porter Jones. Her father died when she was five leaving her mother to raise 5 children on her own. She later married Elam Farlin Allen, who was a loving step-father to Berdine.
Berdine married George Robert (Bob) Scott on January 26, 1940. They lived in Salt Lake City and later moved to Ogden where they lived until Bob passed away on May 10, 2008. They had been married 69 years at that time. Berdine and Bob loved to bowl and golf and won many trophies. They were always surrounded by many wonderful friends.
Berdine's joys in life were her family, reading, painting, and playing the piano and organ. She was a devoted, loving mother to three daughters. She hosted family parties for birthdays, holidays and special events, giving her family many wonderful memories.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father; loving husband, George Robert (Bob) Scott; her brother, Stanley Jones and sisters, Mae, Ardis and Marilyn; and two great grandchildren, Sarah and Zachery Hart.
Berdine is survived by her three daughters and their husbands, Judy Hart (Robert), Claudia Runolfson (Vell), Wendy Douglas (Brent); fourteen grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 1 p.m. with a viewing prior from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd.
