OBITUARY
St. George, Utah - David S. Jones, 70, passed away December 12, 2011. He was born November 29, 1941, in Glendale, California to Wanda Glassett and Vard S. Jones. He married Kathy Jones, July 31, 1987 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

At age 5, his parents moved to Salt Lake City where he was raised until he moved to LaVerkin in 1989. He achieved two Masters Degrees, one in science and the other in mathematics. Dave was a professor for 18 years at LDS business college teaching mathematics and computers. When he was not busy teaching, he enjoyed various outdoor activities including: hunting, fishing, hiking, wildlife, and photography. Dave also took much pleasure in sharing his accumulated knowledge with others.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Jones of St. George, Utah; Davey (Beverly) Jones, Jenny Jones, Eric Jones, Pam (Robert) Skinner, Duane (Elizabeth) Foote, Michael Foote, Shauna (Brandon) Shepherd, Douglas (Katie) Foote, Angela (Carlos) Gomez, Jeremy Jones and 21 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vard S. and Wanda Glassett Jones; his first wife, Carladene Jones; and his sister, Sandra Tate.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Spilsbury Mortuary located at 110 South Bluff Street. The viewing will take place December 16, 2011 at Spilsbury Mortuary from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday an hour prior to the funeral services.

Because of Dave's love for the outdoors, in lieu of flowers, please donate to the wildlife foundation of your choice.

Dave's family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and CNA's at the Legacy Unit of Kolob Care and Rehabilitation Center.
