OBITUARY
Rupert – Dora Evalyn Jones Heiner, age 74, of Idaho Falls and formerly of Rupert, passed away on Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, in Idaho Falls.

Dora was born on Dec. 12, 1939, in Blanding, Utah, to Marvin and Mary Ann (Palmer) Jones. As a young woman she worked to become a licensed beautician and also graduated from Stevens-Henager College before serving a full time mission to England.

She married Thane Irwin Heiner in the Logan Utah LDS Temple on Jan. 31, 1963.
She was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served in numerous callings throughout her life. She and her husband served a mission to Panama and also served for many years as temple workers in both the Logan and Twin Falls Temples.

Dora had great enthusiasm for life. Her warm and friendly personality, coupled with her sincere interest in people, drew many to her. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother, and her greatest joys were always centered in her family. She was also very talented musically. She was a gifted pianist and was blessed with a beautiful soprano voice and she gladly shared these talents in both the church and the community all her life.

She is survived by eight children; Mary Ann (Mark) Lyons, Anthony Heiner, Dallon Heiner, Lynette (Larry) Wilson, Marci (Ryan) Waite, Julia Elder, Thurman (Natalie) Heiner, Ben Heiner, and Rachel Coats Anderson; 33 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Kyle; and 12 brothers and sisters.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, at the Acequia LDS Church, 20403 5th St., in Acequia, with Bishop Calvin Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Heyburn.

Friends may call from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Monday at the church.
